چکیده
Implementing input parameters that match the experimental weld shape is challenging in LASER beam welding (LBW) simulation because computed heat and spot for temperature acquisition strongly affect outcomes. Therefore, this study focuses on investigating autogenous LBW of AISI 1020 using a three-dimensional transfer model assumes modified Gaussian flux distribution depending power (Qw), radius (R), penetration (hp). The influence such variables simulated bead was assessed through analysis variance (ANOVA). ANOVA returns reliable results as long data normally distributed. exerts most prominent influence. Taguchi’s design defined studied reducing about 65% simulations compared to full factorial design. optimum values outcomes lab-controlled experiments were 2400 W (80% efficiency), 0.50 mm radius, 1.64 penetration. Moreover, errors regarding thermocouples positioning corrected linear interpolation. A parallel computing algorithm obtain field reduces computational costs may be applied real-world scenarios determine achieve expected joint quality. proposed methodology could reduce required time optimize process, saving development costs.

This paper was aimed to report the 3D finite element analysis simulation of laser welding process of Ti6Al4V 1.7 mm sheets in butt joint in order to predict the temperature distribution, hardness, and weld geometry. The butt-joint welds were made using CO2 laser with the maximum power of 2.2 kW in the continuous wave mode. A part of the experimental work was carried out to verify the weld geome...
متن کاملAnalysis of the theory of thermal damage in biological tissues caused by Laser beam
Introduction: In laser surgery, the laser beam can evaporate and cut the tissue like a small surgical knife when the tissue temperature is heated to 100 degrees Celsius. a complete understanding of the distribution of damage in both pathologic tissue and surrounding tissue is necessary. Although the test is the most realistic solution for treating medical problems, for this rea...

متن کاملThermal Analysis of Friction Stir Welding with a Complex Curved Welding Seam (TECHNICAL NOTE)
Friction stir welding (FSW) can be defined as a green technology, because the consumption of energy during this process is less than other welding methods. In addition, during the process there is no gas, filler material or other consumables. It should be noted that, complex curved shapes are now commonly used in different industries in a bid to have lightweight structures. According to the abo...
